Bedtime Update – Oct. 2
I don’t usually update this late but might have a praise report. Susan told me Meg told the nurse she needed to pee. They have her in a diaper and on a pad so they let her go. In the past they might have a few ml of urine. Like with a catheter after giving her meds to make her pee she produced barely enough to even measure. That’s how bad her kidneys were.
Apparently there was enough to saturate the diaper and leak onto the pad. It isn’t something they can measure because of the method but it’s definitely the most she has produced since her kidneys shut down.
They need to know not just quantity but also quality, but this is a really good sign her kidneys are waking up.
On the way to dinner I was talking with Susan about her kidneys. She has so many injuries. Brain, heart, lungs, her leg, major and minor wounds all over. It’s a lot to heal and she is exhausted because of all her body is doing all the time.
So far her body has not prioritized her kidneys because brain, heart, and lungs are more important to repair and there are only so many resources available in her body every day.
I’m very hopeful and thankful for this report of pee.
Talitha cumi princess. But also sleep well and pee more tomorrow.
