Morning Update – Oct. 25
Meg slept much better last night. She woke up once in the middle of the night then was able to go back to sleep.
She still has a bit of an upset stomach, but overall is better.
They took the wound vac off this morning. That meant removing a bunch of tape and that hurt. She was in pain for a while and the pain made her stomach upset, but not so much she couldn’t eat. She did a few crackers to start then some hashbrowns. She has some fruit too but will eat it later.
She is also drinking better, which means peeing more. Everything seems to be working well so far with that.
Her doctor from the first and third week in PICU is attending again this week. I’m happy she was back on before Megan left.
Speaking of that, there is a confirmed bed for her in rehab at Children’s National in DC. Still waiting on the orders and then transport. Hoping it happens today but it seems in the hospital everything moves in a different time relative to the rest of the world. Things are slow then super fast. There doesn’t seem to be anything in between.
Prayer needs:
- continued recovery from upset stomach
- continued healing
- moving to rehab
- progress in rehab
Talitha cumi, time to move.
