Evening Update – Oct. 26

Not much changed today. Yesterday we were expecting to go to rehab. Mid morning we found out that information was wrong and Megan was really crushed. She has so little to look forward to so when something is taken from her it’s huge.

She is also needing more friends to call her. Two of her former teachers called her this morning and that really helped.

Her leg is hurting more with the wound vac off than it was Sunday. Still, it is better than it was most of last week.

In PT today she sat up on the edge of the bed for several minutes without help then she was helped to stand and pivot to the wheelchair. She moved herself down the hall and after we washed her hair.

OT helped her change and put on her star wars rebel jacket. After that my parents came with her siblings and we met outside for a little bit.

It was cold and very windy. Everyone was cold but because of Covid we had to meet outside as the rest aren’t allowed in to see her.

Still I was happy to see them even if for just a few minutes. It is my birthday after all.

• help for loneliness
• continued and rapid recovery
