Afternoon Update – Nov. 18
Meg is feeling much better today. Effects of the migraine are mostly gone and the compression stockings are helping her feet I believe. She came back from her morning therapy in very good spirits and left early to go to the rec room and hang out a bit before her next therapy session.
Meg has been very sassy today, joking with her nurses, techs, and therapists. Basically she is feeling good and showing off.
They confirmed today that someone from the MD School for the Blind will be coming on the 7th. They are the ones who will make practical recommendations to help retrain her brain around the damage.
We also have a visit with the wheelchair rep on the 30th. Megan and I both have things we want in a wheelchair. For her she wants a seat cushion that is long term comfortable and wheels that glide a bit more. I want the handles to be a bit taller. I don’t know if my wish is possible, but my back doesn’t love bending over so much to push her.
Tomorrow they are removing Megan’s g-tube. We have to head over to the hospital in the surgery center. That is a bit surprising since it was placed bedside and they said they’d be able to pull it bedside, but I guess they don’t walk over here for this kind of procedure.
Prayer Needs:
- Stomach upset
- Footpain/swelling
Talitha cumi: so glad you are feeling better!
