Afternoon Update – Nov. 30

Meg ate very well for dinner last night. We had pizza and she ate two pieces plus 1.5 bacon, cheese, and jalapeño breadsticks. These were like double size each so it was a LOT, especially compared to what she had been eating. Her stomach was upset not long after. She thinks she ate too much.

We had a visit with the GI doc about an hour ago. He examined her, got info on everything, and is making recommendations to the team on her medications and nutrition, so hopefully we’ll see some improvement in the GI health soon.

We also sat with the team and the equipment rep to order Meg’s wheelchair. I didn’t understand a lot of what was discussed. They were going on various degrees of adjustment here and there. It sounds like they understood Megan’s needs and are getting this well fitted to her.

It won’t be available before Megan is discharged so we talked about rental options some too.
