Evening Update – Dec. 5

Meg is doing better today. She still has some diarrhea but didn’t go from mid-afternoon yesterday till afternoon today. That’s the longest she’s gone, not quite 24 hours, but getting there. She is also in a really good mood. I got to the room around 5 and the lights were down low because she was watching a show. I thought it meant she had a migraine, but she was sassy and laughing. Definitely a better mood and less pain than when I saw her last night.

Her nurse came in around 5:40 and we were playing Uno, so the nurse joined in. Meg said, “Are you sure you want to play against two Crofts?” You may not know this, but we are kinda competitive.

We played half a dozen hands. The nurse didn’t win any. I guess Meg’s confidence was pretty well founded.

Other than that we don’t have many updates. Still hoping Meg will get well enough they can lift her quarantine and she’ll be able to finish her rehab strong. Otherwise we are going home this week at the end of the week. Either way, we are going to practice car transfers this week. That will be a new thing, so I expect it to be a lot of work and some difficulty and pain to start with. I also expect Megan will conquer this like everything else.

Prayer Needs:

  • Gut distress
  • General recovery

Talitha cumi, get well and get strong!
