Morning Update – Dec. 20

Three more days. That’s the big update.

Megan slept great last night from 10pm to 7:40am. She did a great job getting herself ready this morning, ate well, and headed out to her first therapy on her own.

The doctors came in while she was getting ready. Three people came in the room when there was already a nurse in her giving Megan meds and checking her vitals. In the past this exceeded Megan’s limits. There was music playing, 4 people in gowns, I was on the phone getting the chair lift deposit paid, and the nurse was talking to Megan.

It was overwhelming for me, but Megan tolerated it very well. It’s just another sign of how well she is recovering.

The doctor wanted to get info about where Meg’s prescriptions need to be sent. The goal is to get them sent over today so they are available for pickup tomorrow or Wednesday. There are some very important prescriptions in this, so we want to make sure we have them all ahead of time.

We also need to get her rental chair and a bed. There are a lot of final details to lock down and it’s a little overwhelming, but we are also so very excited.
