Evening Update – Feb. 1
Megan is doing really well in school. She has been passing pretests which means she can skip the lesson including assignments and quizzes as if she took them. That is helping her catch up more quickly on work.
She saw her primary care doctor Monday. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there but I heard the appointment went well. I’m really happy with her doctor and look forward to long term care with a GP who can coordinate all the specialists who Megan is seeing.
Speaking of specialists, we got a call from the plastic surgeon a little bit ago. They finally worked out the hospital and insurance considerations and were able to schedule her surgery to close the wound on her residual limb Thursday.
This means we won’t have to do the super painful dressing changes after tomorrow.
It also means Meg may be able to be fitted for a prosthetic by her birthday.
Both of these make her very excited about having the surgery even if it means some initial discomfort.
Prayer needs:
- – the surgery goes well and Megan recovers quickly
