Morning Update – Sept. 22

Not much to share this am. Meg is still under heavy sedation.

They have been able to reduce her blood pressure medicine and in fact turned off the last one keeping her pressure up. Her heart is beating like a champ.

They are also pulling more fluid because she was so positive, which was to help keep her pressure up. With no BP meds they may have to back off on that but so far she is doing well.

She is still on full ventilator support but that is because she is under heavy sedation.

Prayer needs:

– heart continues to do well (also thank God it is doing so well)

– lung function improves

– neurological responses improve as she comes off sedation

– her leg

– kidneys

– bed sores (starting to get sores on her read but they can adjust her more now as she is off bypass)

– general recovery for various wounds all over her poor body. She has burns on her chest from the defibrillator, a big bruise on her chin, fractures in her nose and sinus, various ports from tubes and lines, …. So many small and large injuries

– peace and rest

I know it’s a lot and it’s a nasty, cloudy, and rainy day, but I feel the light shining in the distance, like waking up before sunrise and seeing the first hint of glow on the horizon. Can’t see the sun or even the red flush of sunrise, but seeing the glow means that the sun will rise again.

Talitha cumi sunshine.
