Afternoon Update – Oct. 27

Meg just got more bad news. She has a UTI with a medication resistant strain of bacteria. This means she is in isolation.
She is very upset because that means she can’t leave her room. Getting out of the room is one of the things she looks forward to.
I just talked to the infectious disease doctor and she is in isolation for the duration of her hospital stay here.
It also means no rehab till she is done with the antibiotics, which is 5 days. That means the soonest she can get into rehab will be Monday, a full week after we were originally told she would be moving.
She was crying so I asked what would help and she asked for a stuffie. Mom had packed them up when we were thinking she’d be moving soon. I was asking which one she wanted and she couldn’t choose, so I dumped them all on her.
Prayer needs:
- quick recovery from UTI
- no bad reaction to antibiotics (which indirectly caused the UTI)
- open bed at rehab
Talitha cumi Megan.
